What are your business hours?

 

Our normal business hours are Monday through Friday 7:30am to 6:00pm EST, and Saturday 9:00am to 4:00pm EST. In the event of an emergency, please call us anytime at 865-202-8501 and we will make it our priority to get your issue fixed right away.*

Do you provide estimates via telephone?

We do not. Every construction project has different aspects and unforeseen requirements. Almost always, measurements and a personal viewing of the area is necessary to determine the level of repair needed or simply to assess the possible obstacles.

 

 

How many free estimates can I get?

 

You are entitled to 1 per project. However, we will provide multiple pricing and material options at your request for a small preparation fee. If we are awarded your project, the fee is then waived.

 

 

I have three different estimates, and the prices vary greatly. Why?

 

There are a number of different factors that go into pricing a remodeling or construction job. Check the obvious first. Make sure that every estimate has the same scope of work. If the estimates are so vague that you cannot decipher that information, go back to the contractor for clarification, IN WRITING, not just a “yea, its included” over the phone. If you cannot get satisfactory written results, eliminate that contractor from future bidding.

 

The level of service given by a contractor also greatly affects the cost. If the contractor spends lots of time picking out materials, attending to every detail, and taking care of all the little extras, so you don’t have to, it will cost a little extra. When a contractor carries all the required insurances and licensing, his prices will be higher than a ‘fly-by-night contractor’.

 

 

What can I expect during my project?

 

While projects are in motion it can get noisy, messy, and dangerous. We will clean as we go, and at the end of the day, but please note that traffic, children, and animals, are strictly prohibited from work areas until projects are complete.

 

Anytime drywall, wood, block, brick, or concrete, needs to be installed, removed, or repaired, dust will be inevitable. We will do our best to keep the dust under control with drop cloths and vacuums, but please expect that the area will get a little dusty. Please move electronics, wall hangings, knick-knacks, and fragile items out of areas to be worked on, if possible. If you need assistance moving anything, please let your project manager know, and he will be happy to help you.

 

If a roof or siding is part of your estimate, please have your lawn cut prior to the agreed start date. Our magnets do not work well in tall grass, so you will get a better sweep the shorter the grass is. Also, do not pierce, walk across, place objects on, use chemicals on, pressure wash, or hang anything from, your new roof or siding.
